FUE (follicular unit extraction) is the latest hair transplant technique; FUE involves the minimum incision during the hair transplantation. FUE has now completely replaced the traditional method of hair transplant also known as FUT (follicular unit transplantation).
In FUT a strip of tissue with hairs is removed from the donor area (usually at the back side of head) and then individual follicular units are separated from this strip, which are then ready to be transplanted on bald area.
On the other side, FUE involves the extraction of each follicular unit from the donor area with a fine medical instrument.
Therefore no linear scar and no stitches are experienced in this technique, another advantage of FUE is that the donor can the extended to the chest, legs, arms and other body parts including chin and beard. The FUE procedure is time consuming and less number of graft are extracted in each session if compared to FUT.
